Responsibilities
Prepare and present lessons based on the department rubrics for assignments while following the department syllabus for the designated course
Adheres to the faculty handbook and faculty guide
Manage classroom behavior and address student needs as required
Provide opportunities for meeting times for students, adhere to the established class schedule and hold required office hours
Maintain a good relationship with students and other ASE faculty
Submit contracts, book requests (if needed), syllabi, grades, evaluations, and other required paperwork and reports by due date
Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Freshman Success
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required with appropriate justification as determined by the University if candidate does not have Master's
Current full-time Texas Wesleyan University employee
Ability to work effectively with other University personnel
Ability to provide service to both the University and the community
Ability to comply with rules, standards, regulations, FERPA laws, and laws related to student records
Ability to adhere to university and departmental policies and procedures
Ability to use discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Prior teaching experience at the college or university level preferred
Experience working with a diverse group of students
