Responsibilities
Work with different teams to understand existing analytical workflows and models
Refactor and productionize Python code mainly for maintainability. Performance and scalability are secondary for this work
Develop and deploy automated solutions in Databricks and integrate with Spotfire dashboards
Implement best practices for version control, testing, and documentation
Ensure data security and compliance with company standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional experience in Python development
3+ years working with data platforms such as Databricks and visualization tools like Spotfire
Experience collaborating with engineering or scientific teams to productionize existing code
Proven track record of building scalable, maintainable solutions in a data-driven environment
Advanced Python (data manipulation, automation, and object-oriented programming)
Databricks (PySpark and SQL data manipulation), Spotfire (data visualization and integration)
ETL processes, data pipelines, and cloud-based workflows
Git/GitHub
Unit testing, CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of reservoir engineering workflows and oil & gas industry data
Ability to interpret and refactor code developed by reservoir engineer into robust, production-ready solutions
Preferred
Familiarity with Azure cloud environments
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of analytical models
