Accounting Manager and/or Controller (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

Internal and external financial reporting to management and stakeholders
Liaise with external auditors, tax preparers, and consultants to manage and complete projects as needed
Cash management and other treasury functions
Journal entries for cash deposits and revenue
Revenue accruals and associated analysis
Revenue recovery including pursuing outstanding receivables from operators
Lease bonus and other income items
Supervise revenue accountants
Other revenue special projects and analysis
Acquisitions (PPAs) and divestitures
Transfers from unproved to proved properties
Depletion calculations
Impairment assessments
Support other accounting functions and assist with special projects as needed
Adhere to rigorous monthly, quarterly, and annual close deadlines

Required

Key member of Pegasus' accounting team to help support the Company's growth in the Permian Basin and Appalachia
Support all functions of Pegasus' accounting department, including consolidation and financial reporting, partnership tax, treasury, revenue and receivables, PP&E, debt and equity, derivatives, and other general accounting functions
Internal and external financial reporting to management and stakeholders
Liaise with external auditors, tax preparers, and consultants to manage and complete projects as needed
Cash management and other treasury functions
Journal entries for cash deposits and revenue
Revenue accruals and associated analysis

Preferred

A degree from a four-year college or university in accounting
Active CPA license in Texas (for Controller position only)
Proficient in MS Excel and Power BI skills
Enertia oil and gas software and Workiva consolidation/financial reporting exposure
Strong understanding of oil and gas contracts and lease terms including pricing and deductions
Highly organized and possess good problem-solving and time management skills
Comfortable with monthly, quarterly, and annual recurring close responsibilities
Ability to be a team player and interact with different disciplines within a company
Demonstrated ability to lead a team of direct reports and achieve high levels of performance
