New Grad, Entry LevelMandarich Law Group, LLP is a creditors' rights law firm located in downtown Chicago. They are currently seeking a full-time Associate Legal 1 in their Payment Processing Center to perform accounting tasks related to consumer account maintenance and ensure accurate processing of consumer payments.

Responsibilities
Coding of payment to consumer account based on available information which may require additional due diligence for accurate coding
Consumer payments are correctly applied in accordance with client requirements and consumer’s account information provided in our system of record including with terms of agreement with Court or consumer
Post checks to our System of Record/ data entry
Exercise due care and perform due diligence to research and resolve discrepancies or issues
Become a subject matter expert when responding to client and consumer requests including providing supporting documentation for audits or for responding to requests from clients, consumers, attorneys or internal requests
Become a team member who will demonstrate a team concept when processing, posting and depositing the day’s payments and consistently apply this concept every day
Assist with other projects as needed

Qualification
Required
Strong work ethic
Ability to perform accounting tasks related to consumer account maintenance
Experience in processing, posting, and depositing payments
Ability to code payments to consumer accounts based on available information
Due diligence in researching and resolving discrepancies or issues
Ability to respond to client and consumer requests
Ability to provide supporting documentation for audits
Team-oriented mindset
Willingness to assist with other projects as needed
Availability for overtime hours
