Responsibilities
Meet with clients and discuss audit planning and results
Develop engagement work plans and ensure teams remain on schedule
Review and prepare financial statements, footnotes, workpapers, tax returns, and management letters
Analyze and research complex or unusual transactions, considering both accounting and tax implications
Research and recommend tax strategies to support client objectives
Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships
Participate in business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities
Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of staff members
Possess time management and organization skills
Demonstrate industry expertise
Assist with recruitment and training of other audit personnel
Maintain contacts with peers, develop a network of business contacts, meet with prospective clients, and cultivate referrals
Present and /or lead internal trainings and create training materials
Develop a broad general knowledge of economic, political, and business conditions
Accept volunteer positions in community organizations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or another related program
CPA certification is strongly desired
At least six years of public accounting and audit experience
At least six years of client management experience and the ability to lead and develop professional staff
Proficiency in the use of computers and software programs
Ability to manage multiple client engagements and prioritize work
Preferred
Tax experience is a plus
Experience with CCH Engagement, CCH Axcess - Tax, Document, QuickBooks, and BNA portfolios is a plus
