Responsibilities
Own hands-on mechanical and automation equipment design from concept → FAT/SAT → production deployment
Lead mechanical integration of robotics, single-use systems, conveyors, AGVs/AMRs, pumps, and valves
Design and support aseptic, GMP-compliant automation solutions for cell & gene therapy manufacturing
Collaborate closely with controls engineers, vendors, R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams
Support equipment scale-up, technology transfer, and commercialization efforts
Participate in vendor management, design reviews, risk assessments, and validation activities
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in automation equipment development within pharma or biotech manufacturing
Strong mechanical design background (SolidWorks preferred)
Hands-on experience with single-use systems and manufacturing scale-up programs
Solid understanding of aseptic design principles and GMP requirements
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
Strong communication skills and experience working on cross-functional teams
