Associate Developer, PS (Drupal Fullstack Developer)

Responsibilities
Participate in all aspects of the software development life-cycle, turning functional and design requirements into working application components that meet specifications and follow Acquia best practices
Interface with diverse teams to define the scope and roadmap for demonstrations and implementation
Active contributions to all UI / UX decisions and implementations
Ability to understand business requirements and turn them into functional and aesthetic design components
Develop features with enhanced user experience and optimize the front-end architecture for the best performance
Responsible for writing efficient, accessible, and quality code using IDEs in areas of expertise (e.g. PHP, JS) that aligns with industry/community best practices and standards
Document, communicate, and help the team, acting as a better team player
Report on blockers and collaborate with team members to reach resolution
Participate in customer meetings and workshops
Estimate the amount of work required to deliver requirements, and track time and expenses using project and organizational standards
Accountable for active contributions to front-end architecture decisions and front-end development for web applications
Break down a problem into discrete, actionable items; identify risks; and note assumptions
Be transparent with delivery team(s) and manager, and communicate clearly on a daily basis to report status, blockers, etc
Capable of leading development efforts across customer and/or partner teams of small to medium-sized efforts
Qualification
Required
Total 1-3 years of experience as a Fullstack developer
Expert in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and jQuery
Uses technologies such as Git, Composer, Drush, Virtual Environments, Continuous Integration Tools, etc. to implement customer builds
Familiar with all aspects of Drupal Site Building and standard configuration management strategies / workflow
Writes quality code using IDEs in area of expertise (e.g. PHP, JS) that aligns with industry / community best practices and standards
Experience working with Drupal themes, preprocessors, and twig templates
Understanding of Drupal and using Drupal Tools such as Drush and Composer
Experience in application performance through JavaScript profiling and code optimization
Knowledge of CSS preprocessors & methodologies
Basic understanding of managing front-end libraries with package managers and task runners
Experienced with Acquia Hosting Products including Acquia Cloud, Acquia Cloud Site Factory
Desire to learn and adapt to new applications and frameworks, and eager to work on exciting and innovative technologies
Commitment to delivering high-quality software on time
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent written and verbal English communication skills, and an ability to collaborate asynchronously in a multi-time zone environment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
Skilled at collaborating with team members and partners in a matrixed environment
Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Preferred
Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban a plus
Experience of interface design tools and basic understanding of graphic design applications is a plus
