Responsibilities
Design and execute both manual and automated test cases
Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create effective and reusable test cases
Generate and document test plans, test strategies, testing metrics, and detailed test reports
Perform ADA compliance testing using tools such as AccVerify and JAWS
Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and REST clients
Build test suites for environments such as DEV, UAT, QAT, and PRE‑PROD
Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps
Perform performance and load testing using JMeter or LoadRunner
Write and maintain automation scripts using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
Write clean, maintainable Java code for automation, including Gherkin scenarios and step definitions
Write SQL and P‑SQL queries to set up test data and validate data in Oracle or SQL Server
Use Git for version control, including pull requests and merges
Collaborate as an active participant in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
Communicate test results, defects, and risks clearly to developers, analysts, and stakeholders
Apply secure application development lifecycle principles to testing processes
Work independently and in a team within a fast‑paced agile environment
Participate in on‑site work in Lansing two days per week
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience designing and executing manual and automated test cases
5+ years of experience analyzing requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to build detailed test cases
Strong experience automating web applications with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools
Experience with Java and JavaScript for scripting and automation
Strong understanding of software testing types including Quality Assurance, User Acceptance, System Integration, Accessibility, Performance, Regression, Post Deployment Validation, and Data Conversion
Experience generating test plans, test strategies, reports, metrics, and test data
Experience with ADA compliance testing tools
Strong experience with API testing using Postman, REST clients, or similar
Experience writing SQL queries including SELECTs and JOINs for test validation
Proficiency with Git for version control
Experience participating in Agile/Scrum teams and ceremonies
Strong communication skills for reporting defects, risks, and test results
Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and design test cases
Understanding of secure application development lifecycle (SADLC)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile, fast‑paced environment
