Executive Director of Campus Community and Belonging

The College of Coastal Georgia is an undergraduate college in the University System of Georgia located in Brunswick, Georgia. The Executive Director of Campus Community and Belonging will lead efforts to assist in the orientation and transition of students while promoting a sense of belonging and inclusivity on campus.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with campus stakeholders and oversees programming that promotes an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students
Designs, executes, supports, and assesses student transition programming for new students including the College's orientation program
Applies for, manages, and maintains federal/state/local grants
Leads Office of Campus Community & Belonging and supervises employees
Establishes partnerships with local school systems, community organizations, and civic groups to create, execute, and assess opportunities to access the College of Coastal Georgia
Develop strategies to identify, communicate with, and track at-risk students to increase student success and retention. Developing processes to connect students to campus academic success resources (i.e Faculty, Academic Tutoring, Advising, etc.)
Collaborates with campus leaders to develop and execute strategies to increase student recruitment, foundation support, and community engagement
Engages with campus-wide committees and establishes supplemental committees as needed
Performs related duties as assigned

Required

Masters degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
More than five years of related experience
Knowledge of theories and best practices in creating a sense of student belonging
Knowledge of best practices in the field of orientation, transition, and new student programming
Knowledge of federal grant writing and management
Knowledge of national, state and local issues related to post-secondary education
Knowledge of computers and job-related software applications
Knowledge of program and budget management principles
Skills in working collaboratively across multiple campus units
Skill in the training and supervision of personnel
Skill in event planning
Skill in grant writing and fundraising
Skill in decision making and problem solving
Skill in assessing learning outcomes for co-curricular programs
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
Skill in oral and written communication
