Responsibilities

Being responsible for a variety of correspondence, reports, memos, or other information from machine dictation, rough drafts, or general instructions
Receiving and screening calls from internal and external partners for supervisors and other staff
Making referrals as appropriate to other staff
Answering questions not requiring research or technical knowledge
Responding to items not requiring supervisory review or resolution
Organizing and maintaining filing systems including applications, foster tests and background checks
Scheduling appointments and conferences
Making travel arrangements
Taking meeting minutes

Required

A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is required for this position
Two years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents
An Associate degree in any field
An equivalent combination of education and experience. (Graduated from a private school of business with a certificate AND one year of general clerical experience.)
Experience reviewing documents and information for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established guidelines
Experience recording accurate and detailed meeting minutes in a professional setting
Experience using database programs and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience delivering customer service in an office environment, including sharing information clearly and researching answers when needed
Experience managing competing requests and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines
Experience working collaboratively with diverse individuals and maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information
