NEOGOV is seeking an Administrative-Management Specialist IV to provide specialized assistance to the Director in Floodplain Management and Hazard Mitigation. The role involves advanced administrative support, including grant writing, budget assistance, and program planning, while liaising with various governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized assistance to the Director with advanced and specialized level of proficient administrative support (grant writing, budget support, technical assistance, program planning and supervising support staff) to the Departments of Floodplain Management and Hazard Mitigation
Provide administrative support to department in delivering all Infrastructure and Long-Term Resilience programs
Facilitate meetings, take/transcribe meeting minutes, and prepare and distribute agendas and other materials
Provide liaison and oversight duties with all departmental consultants, other parish departments, non-government organizations, state agencies including but not limited to Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, and Federal agencies including but not limited to Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Emergency Management Agency and Housing and Urban Development for all assigned programs
Prepare resolutions, ordinances, RFPs, SOQs, bid packages, and contracts for assigned programs
Prepare, edit, proofread, file and distribute correspondence and memorandums for Infrastructure Grants Management and Long-Term Resilience
Perform related works as required

Required

Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Successful completion of twelve (12) hours of accredited Accounting coursework
Extensive (approximately 5 years) experience in professional Accounting or Grant Management
Possession of a valid driver's license
Acceptable driving record
Personal automobile with minimum liability insurance available for business use

Preferred

Certification as a Floodplain Manager from the Association of State Floodplain Managers
