Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field
3+ years of hands-on experience in software development and specialized biomedical system administration
Hands-on expertise with MarkLogic and MongoDB document databases, including complex data migration between platforms
Strong experience with AWS services, including: Secrets Manager, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2 (supporting secure, compliant deployments in regulated environments)
In-depth experience working with FDA, AACT, and ClinicalTrials.gov datasets and APIs, including regulatory data standards and integration techniques including large-scale ingestion, normalization, and semantic integration
Direct, production-level experience with NLP, GenAI, and LLM-based agentic frameworks, applied to real-world biomedical use cases (e.g., semantic search, knowledge graphs)
Strong full-stack engineering skills, including: Modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js or equivalent), Backend API design, Cloud-based microservices architectures tailored to scientific workflows
Preferred
Prior ownership or stewardship of custom-built biomedical knowledge or information systems with complex, multi-source data pipelines
Documented contributions to FDA regulatory information systems
Experience collaborating on scientific publication analytics or biomedical knowledge platforms
