Portfolio Manager (WM)

Responsibilities

Assists in development of asset allocation and investment programs tailored to individual client objectives and risk tolerance
Maintains active communication with clients and advisors, providing ongoing support in managing high-net-worth client relationships and prospects
Recommends appropriate investment products and services, based on objectives, risk tolerance and optimal asset allocations
Monitors and communicates the performance of individual accounts and investment strategies
Stays current on recommended amendments to approved lists and buy/sell recommendations for selected strategies
Stays abreast of industry trends by maintaining awareness of new investment strategies and instruments through regular contact with industry professionals and personal research
Contributes content for investment newsletters, internal/external information pieces and presentations in collaboration with third party information sources
Effectively communicates and promotes our investment philosophy to clients, prospects and centers of influence
Identifies opportunities for additional product cross-selling to existing clients
Develops and maintains a referral network of internal and external sources for additional sales opportunities
Completes all sales activity documentation for performance tracking and targeting future sales efforts
Identifies and refers business to other areas within the Bank as appropriate
Strictly adheres to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Bank and regulatory standards
The role requires occasional travel for training and team meetings, and willingness to travel periodically, to locations within market as needed
Expected to maintain a regular work schedule in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support of internal and external customers
Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or finance related studies
5-10 years previous experience in wealth or investment management or advanced credentials
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

Advanced degree or relevant industry certifications are preferred, but not required (i.e. MBA, CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst), etc.)
