Sample Management Technician II (2nd shift)

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming samples for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established acceptance criteria
Input sample information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Label, organize, and store samples to maintain proper chain of custody and compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards
Ensure all requirements of the Sample Acceptance Policy are met or appropriately documented
Prioritize and coordinate sample log-in activities to support analytical turnaround times and testing schedules
Monitor sample storage areas to ensure compliance, organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness
Prepare, package, and ship outbound samples, sample kits, and client returns in accordance with applicable procedures and shipping requirements
Assist with troubleshooting sample discrepancies and escalating issues as appropriate
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
Provide backup support during periods of increased workload or staff absences
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Science or related field preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a professional laboratory and/or sample management environment
Prior experience performing data entry and/or administrative with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows-based software
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Strong attention to detail with effective organizational and time-management skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
