Sr Installation Engineer
Take2 Consulting, LLC is seeking a Sr Installation Engineer to support the VA's Electronic Health Record deployment and training initiatives. Responsibilities
Oversee setup and configuration of equipment at training sites, including imaging, network connections, and peripheral installations
Manage baseband and internet network connectivity, troubleshooting issues as they arise
Configure, manage, and resolve hardware and Wi-Fi network hardware issues
Operate with limited supervision to support hardware start-up, updates, maintenance, and inventory management
Verify computer images, active directory setup, security scans, and updates to ensure readiness for training sessions
Support ongoing technical issues during installations and operational deployments, including onsite troubleshooting and issue resolution
Coordinate and manage workload related to equipment deployment and network connectivity at multiple locations
Ensure training site network reliability and proper hardware functioning for uninterrupted support
Qualification
Required
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information System, Information Technology, or an equivalent field
Alternatively, candidates with 18 or more total years of experience in lieu of a degree are also eligible
Public Trust clearance is required for this role
5+ years of experience designing, analyzing, or troubleshooting IP networks
Experience managing technical teams and supporting hardware/software configurations
Proficiency with network hardware and Wi-Fi configuration/management
Strong background in system imaging, hardware troubleshooting, and deployment projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze network traffic and identify issues
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Experience in hardware setup, configuration, and maintenance for laptops, desktops, and printers
Preferred
Strong critical thinking and error assessment capabilities
Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop deployments
Background working as an IT helpdesk Tier 2 technician
