Manufacturing Engineer

Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove is a leading manufacturer of luxury kitchen appliances known for quality and performance. The Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly will focus on providing technical expertise and driving efforts to plan, design, and implement assembly processes across the organization.

Responsibilities

Analyze and provide feedback for designs and concepts with respect to required assembly processes to meet product and customer need
Create and maintain the process plan to meet all system/product assembly requirements
Work collaboratively with other engineering functions (design, quality, reliability), manufacturing operations, supply chain and others to communicate process requirements and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Provide project and process requirements to NPD teams for early development activities
Generate and manage capital projects for manufacturing engineering from concept to implementation
Provide assembly expertise through design review, PFMEA and manufacturing tolerance analysis, and provide DFM/DFA feedback, with proposed solutions
Create relevant process documentation for communication to production engineers, supervisors and operators
Research and analyze process technology and methodology to implement solutions for cost efficient and robust assembly processes
Deliver assembly processes to the production environment, meeting production capacity, quality, schedule and cost requirements
Assist production support engineering functions as needed
Research, analyze and select required tooling as needed for assembly processes
Assist in training others in areas of expertise

Required

Experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on assembly processes
Analytical and hands-on approach to provide technical expertise
Ability to analyze and provide feedback for designs and concepts
Experience in creating and maintaining process plans
Collaborative work with other engineering functions and manufacturing operations
Ability to provide project and process requirements to NPD teams
Experience in generating and managing capital projects from concept to implementation
Expertise in design review, PFMEA, manufacturing tolerance analysis, and DFM/DFA feedback
Ability to create relevant process documentation for communication
Research and analysis skills for process technology and methodology
Ability to deliver assembly processes meeting production capacity, quality, schedule, and cost requirements
Experience in selecting required tooling for assembly processes
Ability to assist in training others in areas of expertise
