IT Business Systems Analyst

Responsibilities

Support the Property Product Break/Fix (ProFix) team with tier-3 production incident and problem investigation for our policy systems
Lead in-depth system research and analysis to determine where and why issues occur by validating incidents
Isolate issues through detailed investigation
Prepare development-ready work to support backlog needs
Collaborate with peers on the team, across the IT organization, and with business partners to share findings and support next-step efforts

Required

Bachelor's Degree or higher in an information technology discipline, business discipline or related field of study and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience in requirements gathering activities or Progressive systems experience
In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher, the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of 2 years related work experience in requirements gathering activities or Progressive systems experience
In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of 4 years related work experience in requirements gathering activities or Progressive systems experience

Preferred

Proven experience in systems analysis and incident investigation, with the ability to navigate live production systems and drive root-cause analysis
Familiarity with incident and problem management tools such as Helix or Remedy
Ability to build SQL queries and perform data research; Proficiency using tools such as Splunk to isolate issues research data, isolate issues, and support system troubleshooting
Experience documenting investigative findings and tracking work items; Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, MS Office, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams to support documentation and collaboration
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices; Ability to collaborate across IT and business partners and communicate findings clearly in production environments
