Responsibilities
Participate in deep architectural and design discussions to create world-class solutions built on AWS while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and proof of concepts
In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
Develop strategic technical roadmaps and migration plans for database solutions that align with customers’ business objectives and existing architecture
Design and implement Database architectures that meet customer requirements across enterprise systems, leveraging AWS services like Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and other Database Services
Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS database solutions architect community
Travel is expected to be 20%
Qualification
Required
5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Preferred
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
Experience working directly in customer implementations
Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
