Senior LevelMindlance is a confidential company seeking a Business Analyst to work on upgrading and combining various aging systems into a comprehensive internal Financial Management System. The role involves refining and developing requirements, participating in system development, and ensuring that proposed solutions meet business needs.

Responsibilities
Elicit business requirements and document business systems activities: defines the business needs, assesses capability gaps of existing solutions and determines solution approaches to meeting business needs (e.g., business case, fit-gap analysis document, or functional specification)
Assist in prioritizing and organizing requirements. Communicates business process requirements to IT staff, program staff and stakeholders (e.g., business process flows, fit-gap analysis, or functional designs)
Validates that proposed solutions meet business needs; evaluates the outcome of system testing; confirms that the results are consistent with the system or business process specifications (develops test scenarios, scripts, and data; reviews test results; and assesses the implementation of appropriate solutions to ensure they perform to the required specifications and are capable of achieving the design capabilities)
Plans the BA approach/activities: Analyzes the impact of change to IT system requirements or business processes and evaluates project timelines and priorities
Encourages stakeholders to resolve issues with design specifications before implementation
Mentors state staff and new BA’s Establishes, monitors and ensures that project goals/objectives are met; managing daily work/priorities
Qualification
Required
Experience in business process and system analysis
Ability to create new functional designs
Experience in creating and executing user test plans
Experience in system deployment activities
Ability to develop, communicate, and maintain methodologies and standards for business analysis
Experience in eliciting business requirements and documenting business systems activities
Ability to define business needs and assess capability gaps of existing solutions
Experience in prioritizing and organizing requirements
Ability to communicate business process requirements to IT staff, program staff, and stakeholders
Experience in validating proposed solutions meet business needs
Ability to evaluate the outcome of system testing
Experience in developing test scenarios, scripts, and data
Ability to review test results and assess implementation of solutions
Experience in analyzing the impact of change to IT system requirements or business processes
Ability to evaluate project timelines and priorities
Experience in mentoring state staff and new BAs
Ability to establish, monitor, and ensure project goals/objectives are met
Experience in managing daily work/priorities
