Responsibilities
Complete specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results
Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens
Document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
Assess performance and test results, and identify problems that may adversely affect those results; correct problems as appropriate
Conducting general laboratory maintenance, to include: cleaning, completing safety checks, equipment monitoring, environmental testing, inventory, receiving, and reagent manufacturing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in medical technology, chemical, physical, or biological sciences
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills-Microsoft and Adobe are required
Ability to multitask
Excellent attention to detail
Preferred
at least 1 year of molecular and/or clinical experience preferred
Preferred experience with clinical sample processing
Regulated environment experience (CLIA, CAP, GLP, and NY-DOH)
Preferred experience with aseptic technique
