Transportation Planner/Traffic Engineer
Maine Turnpike Authority is seeking a Transportation Planner / Traffic Engineer to analyze, design, and implement transportation projects that enhance regional mobilization. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, conducting traffic studies, and developing management strategies to support various departments within the Authority.

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience (5+ years) in transportation planning or traffic engineering
Understanding of traffic engineering principles, traffic signal design, and roadway safety
Understanding of work zone safety, signing and striping design, and signal design in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and other current design guides
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Strong organizational skills to maintain project schedules within budget
Possess and maintain a valid and unencumbered State of Maine Class C driver's license
Preferred
Professional engineering license or transportation planning certification
Experience in traffic analysis and modeling software (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM)
