Responsibilities
Shape and execute forward-looking operational strategies that accelerate business growth and align with the long-term objectives of the division and the firm
Partner closely with the Line of Business CFO to steer financial performance through disciplined budgeting, forecasting, and analytical reporting that supports scalable expansion
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational and regulatory risks to ensure a resilient, globally compliant operating environment as the franchise grows
Lead the development and launch of new products and market-expansion initiatives-including international build-outs, power trading, commodity financing, vaulting solutions, and new index offerings-while managing related internal and external risks
Continuously refine and monitor performance metrics to measure strategic impact, detect emerging issues, and guide data-driven decisions that support growth
Drive senior-level partnerships with key vendors, market-data providers, exchanges, and brokers to optimize platform capabilities, enhance competitive positioning, and manage expenses effectively
Build and strengthen cross-functional partnerships with Finance, HR, Technology, Operations, Legal, Operational Risk, Business Controls, Internal Audit, and Regulatory Relations to ensure unified execution of strategic priorities
Oversee coordination of technology, models, and other highly technical workflows with internal and external teams to ensure seamless operations across existing offerings and new product expansion
Engage proactively with regulators and Internal Audit, ensuring transparent communication, strong control discipline, and timely remediation of findings to support a resilient and growth-ready operating environment
Qualification
Required
8+ years of corporate & investment banking business management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
8+ years of Capital Markets experience
4+ years of management or leadership experience
Preferred
Experience in commodities trading, risk management, operations, or market infrastructure
Experience overseeing complex global trading operations
Experience introducing new processes and technologies to enhance operational efficiency
Strong ability to diagnose inefficiencies, refine workflows, and elevate end-to-end processes
Demonstrated senior leadership across cross-functional teams and multiple departments
Adept at converting CEO-level strategy into executable plans, ensuring readiness for new products and supporting expansion into new markets
Extensive understanding of market, credit, and operational risk within volatile physical and derivatives environments
Extensive regulatory expertise across relevant jurisdictions
Sound judgment with the confidence to challenge business decisions when appropriate
