Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of housekeeping and laundry operations
Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new housekeeping and laundry staff
Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed
Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations
Manage the department budget, including procurement of supplies and equipment
Maintain accurate records, including monthly purchase logs and weekly reports
Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality cleaning and laundry services in resident rooms, common areas, and staff spaces
Develop and implement cleaning protocols and schedules, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in housekeeping and/or laundry management, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
Ability to pass a 50-pound lift test
Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, including infection control practices
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Strong customer service orientation and a positive attitude
