Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking candidates for the Transportation Engineer 1 or 2 positions. The selected candidate will complete ODOT’s Transportation Civil Engineering Program and will be involved in designing and delivering roadway projects, ensuring safety and accessibility.

Responsibilities
You will receive a thorough introduction to the three core civil engineering disciplines
You will work along side of ODOT professional engineers
You will receive hands-on transportation training & experience needed to further your career as an engineer with ODOT
Help design and deliver roadway projects for the public to ensure safety, accessibility and maintenance of our state, US, and interstate routes
Learn how to use the latest transportation design, modeling, and plan production technology (CADD, drafting, MicroStation, etc.) to create construction plans
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering; Accepted for Basic Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (EIT exam) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors
Valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 1, 85641
Or Bachelor's degree in engineering; valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 2 yrs. engineering related experience
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration
