Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate contacts per site procedures
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout tech campus buildings, common areas, and perimeter routes as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location
Monitor access points and assist with visitor management processes, including greeting, directing, and verifying authorization per site requirements
Perform access control duties such as checking identification, confirming permissions, and/or verifying deliveries while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence
Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other building systems when assigned, and report unusual activity according to site procedures
Document patrols, incidents, and service requests in written and/or electronic reports, including detailed observations and actions taken
Assist with traffic flow and pedestrian movement during peak times, special events, and/or scheduled deliveries as directed by site procedures
Support emergency response activities such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, and/or medical response coordination by following site instructions and contacting appropriate resources
Communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, providing timely updates and requesting assistance when needed
Conduct perimeter checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations
Maintain a neat, professional appearance and provide directions, information, and assistance to promote a positive client and visitor experience
Qualification
Required
Have at least 1 or more years of security-related experience
Be at least 21 years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A guard card and/or license is preferred
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
