Onsite Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer - Data Centers

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to work onsite in Amarillo, TX at a hyperscale data center project. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams, managing project schedules and budgets, and driving innovative solutions for complex technical challenges in data center engineering.

Responsibilities

Understand roles played by other disciplines and coordinate with them. Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data from others
Prepare design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates. Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications
Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. Serve as Responsible Engineer (RE) or Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) to lead project success
Devise new approaches to technical problems
Travel for field installation, checkout, and start-up
Review of relevant reports for third party testing and inspection agency. Periodic visual inspections of electrical systems, and instrumentation & controls systems

Qualification

Electrical Engineering DegreeEngineering Design ExperienceElectrical Codes KnowledgeData Center MEP SystemsProfessional Engineer CertificationMicrosoft Suite ProficiencyCommunication SkillsTeam Collaboration

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
Minimum of 6 years of engineering design experience in data centers or similar
Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems
Knowledge of data center MEP systems
Ability to be a lead responsible engineer for a project involving multi-discipline work
Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs at client sites
Proficient with Microsoft Suite including, but not limited to, Word and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams

Preferred

Data Center or mission critical construction and inspection experience
Professional Engineer
