Responsibilities
Review drawings and fabricate pipe systems to spec
Perform layout, prep, fit-up, and welding of pipe and fittings
Strong knowledge of piping systems and installation methods
Work alongside the field crew to complete quality installations safely and efficiently
Measure, cut, thread, and install piping systems (Plumbing/HVAC)
Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings
Install piping systems for HVAC, hydronic, steam, chilled water, gas, and process piping
Perform pipe fitting using welding, brazing, soldering, threading, and mechanical joints
Install valves, pumps, supports, hangers, and related mechanical components
Pressure test piping systems and troubleshoot issues
Direct helpers and assist with rigging and layout work
Welding certifications (stick, TIG, MIG) a plus
Qualification
Required
4+ years (Pipefitter) in commercial construction
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, layouts, and drawings
Proficiency in reading blueprints, spool drawings, and isometric diagrams
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Ability to work early morning shifts and occasional weekends
Comfortable with heights, confined spaces, and working in all weather conditions
Must be able to lift up to 50–75 lbs
