Responsibilities
Support high impact work by running key portions of our data products to help end product owners scale or run centralized data ingestion pipelines that the broader team relies on
Build expertise in highly valuable alternative datasets like web-scraped data, transaction data, email data, and others
Work with massive amounts of data to help answer our clients’ key questions about the companies we cover and the datasets we analyze. You will learn about our proprietary methods and techniques to ensure data accuracy and derive key insights
Become a trusted and reliable resource for our internal stakeholders or clients and work with them to identify and answer their key questions. You'll gain insight into how investors use data in their investment decisions by contributing to data deliverables, custom analysis, or data reports that are consumed by the top investors in the world
Improve our data pipelines by aiding the development of entirely new methodologies and features for our products or use across the data team of new third-party datasets. We value self-improvement and experimentation and expect you to enhance the products, pipelines, or processes that you own
Sharpen existing SQL and Python skills starting with a new hire training program that will teach you SQL, PySpark, and Python fundamentals as well as our internal tools and processes
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst, ideally working with SQL, PySpark, and/or Python
Strong attention to detail and methodical problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams across time zones and cultures
Strive to make tasks as efficient as possible
Enthusiastic about making a big impact at a rapidly growing company
Preferred
Experience working with web-scraped data, transaction data, or email data
