Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer
VSE Aviation is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer responsible for leading the optimization of processes and workflows while providing advanced technical support for both existing and new repair processes. The role emphasizes improving manufacturing capabilities and developing innovative solutions for products used in commercial and military applications involving high bypass, turbo-jet, prop or shaft gas turbine/turbo-machinery systems.

Responsibilities
Create and maintain master repair processes including part routings and operations sheets
Provide shop support and technical data interpretation to the team
Design tools and fixtures as required
Review shop discrepancies between technical data and part condition
Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment comply with regulations
Develop new ideas and research emerging technologies to innovate and expand manufacturing capabilities
Communicate with vendors, suppliers and customers and support onsite visits
Support repair development and continuous improvement activities as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Experience in leading the optimization of manufacturing processes and workflows
Advanced technical support experience for repair processes
Knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and innovative solutions for products
Experience with high bypass, turbo-jet, prop or shaft gas turbine/turbo-machinery systems
Ability to create and maintain master repair processes including part routings and operations sheets
Experience providing shop support and technical data interpretation
Ability to design tools and fixtures as required
Experience reviewing shop discrepancies between technical data and part condition
Knowledge of regulations related to manufacturing processes and equipment
Ability to develop new ideas and research emerging technologies
Experience communicating with vendors, suppliers, and customers
Experience supporting onsite visits
Experience in repair development and continuous improvement activities
