Responsibilities
Elicit and collect necessary information and create business requirements documents
Work collaboratively with the current team of DJJOY/JJIS staff and participate in business requirement gathering for BI projects
Write SQL scripts to extract and analyze juvenile justice and child welfare data to assist creating requirements
Data extraction and programming to investigate issues associated with reporting and dashboard development
Recommend structures and designs for data marts, dashboards, and reports based on requirements analysis
Write, maintain, and test COGNOS reports and dashboards
Qualification
Required
Experience in eliciting, analyzing, designing, and documenting business and technical requirements
Knowledge of Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare reporting in NYS
Experience with AFCARS, NCANDS, CFSR, and Casework Contacts Federal Reporting
Ability to create business requirements documents
Experience working collaboratively with teams on business requirement gathering for BI projects
Proficiency in writing SQL scripts to extract and analyze data
Experience in data extraction and programming for reporting and dashboard development
Ability to recommend structures and designs for data marts, dashboards, and reports
Experience in writing, maintaining, and testing COGNOS reports and dashboards
