Responsibilities

Actively engage with Volvo/Mack suppliers and supply chains
Monitor high risk supplier development issues to prevent crisis at our Volvo operations
Analyze supplier capacity and supplier investment requests
Accurately assess suppliers’ weaknesses and provide solutions
Drive and develop supplier problem solving techniques for identified supplier fault issues
Drive supplier operational excellence
Work in accordance with the Trucks Technology & Industrial processes, the Code of Conduct, and the Volvo Way

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering. Your degree must be at an accredited school and you need to have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship
Must be classified as either a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student at the start of your internship
Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status
Summer Interns may work up to 40 hours per week and must be enrolled as a student

Preferred

Organized and agile in your way of working, with a continuous improvement mindset
Team-player focused
Developed written and verbal communication skills
Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
Experience with Power Bi and Power Automate is a plus
