Regional Sales Manager – Southeast U.S. - Utilities
Skills Alliance is a global provider of advanced metering and data solutions, and they are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead business development and revenue growth across the Southeast United States. This role focuses on expanding market share, developing new utility and municipal relationships, and maximizing revenue within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
Own and grow regional revenue across the Southeast U.S. through new business development and expansion of existing accounts
Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities with municipal utilities, authorities, consultants, and channel partners
Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives
Manage complex, long-cycle sales processes including RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with decision-makers and influencers
Effectively communicate technical and commercial value propositions in collaboration with engineering, product, and marketing teams
Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting through CRM tools
Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings within the region
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy
Qualification
Required
7+ years of progressive sales experience in a relevant industry
Experience managing a multi-state sales territory
Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
CRM proficiency and pipeline-driven sales approach
Proven success in B2B or B2G sales within the water, utilities, infrastructure, or industrial technology sectors
Strong business development background with demonstrated ability to drive net-new revenue
Experience selling complex, technically driven solutions with long sales cycles
Comfortable operating autonomously in a high-ownership, individual contributor role
Track record of building trusted relationships with utilities, municipalities, and engineering stakeholders
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
Willingness to travel extensively within the Southeast territory
