Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of Med/Surg and Telemetry departments with a focus on quality, patient safety, and staff engagement
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements
Support strategic planning and operational objectives
Manage departmental budgets, including cost forecasting and financial impact of services and initiatives
Provide leadership in staff development, mentorship, and performance management
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited BSN program; MSN preferred, or equivalent education/experience combination
10+ years of clinical experience with at least 5 years in management
Current RN license in New Mexico or Compact License
Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required
Strong background in healthcare management, staff development, and quality initiatives
Demonstrated ability to design innovative educational programming and effectively communicate across diverse groups
Skilled in analyzing and addressing social and political trends that impact healthcare and patient education
