Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications to determine welding requirements
Select appropriate welding equipment, tools, and materials for the job
Set up welding machines, including selecting the correct welding parameters such as voltage, wire feed speed, and gas flow rate
Perform MIG welding operations to join metal components according to specifications
Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper functioning
Monitor welding process to ensure quality and consistency of welds
Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to detect defects or imperfections
Inspect welded components for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications
Perform quality control checks to ensure welded joints meet standards for strength, appearance, and structural integrity
Make adjustments to welding techniques or parameters as needed to maintain quality standards
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, and safety glasses
Ensure compliance with welding codes, standards, and regulations
