Responsibilities
Design, develop, and operate high scale applications across the full engineering stack using Java
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software in google cloud with experience designing and developing microservices using Java, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes
Building data intensive applications using PostGresDB, BigQuery, GCP Dataflow
Apply modern software development practices (serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, etc.)
Work across teams to integrate our systems with existing internal systems
Actively participate in Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activity
Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions to turn business requirements and vision into reality. Participate in a tight-knit, globally distributed engineering team
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on network, or service operations and quality
Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to data and information. Actively participate in Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activity
GCP Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred
Qualification
Required
In-depth knowledge of java concepts like java Streams, Threads, Collections
Advanced Proficiency in Java programming, including experience with Spring boot frameworks vs web services
Proficiency required in setting up java projects using maven or gradle and should be aware of BOM in pom.xml and should be able to handle version conflicts effectively through POM.xml
Should know how to configure logging in java projects and debugging and monitoring logs in GCP
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the Apache Beam programming model and its Java SDK
Proven experience with GCP services, particularly Dataflow, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and potentially other relevant services like Cloud SQL etc
