Responsibilities
Engineering analysis of traffic accidents involving diverse vehicle types
On-site inspections of accident scenes and vehicles involved
Investigation of mechanical systems failures and accidents
Vehicle dynamics research including full-scale testing and data acquisition
Producing technical reports and contributing to peer-reviewed publications in relevant fields
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of relevant experience
Practical mechanical experience, professionally or through coursework/recreational activities
Willingness to travel and excellent communication skills
Ability to travel as needed and navigate accident sites
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and drive to site locations
Adherence to necessary personal protective equipment requirements
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) examination pass preferred
Experience in data acquisition systems for vehicle testing is a plus
ACTAR certification is desirable
Expert witness testimony experience desirable
