This role will have full ownership of financial reporting, controls, and team leadership, while providing commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
Own the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and management reporting
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
Oversee revenue recognition and cost tracking across multiple events and client projects
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management in partnership with the CFO
Manage and develop the accounting team, setting clear expectations and improving processes
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
Support the CFO with financial analysis, margin reporting, and ad hoc strategic initiatives
Drive continuous improvement across systems, workflows, and reporting tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
Hands-on, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
Excellent communication skills and comfort working closely with senior leadership
Preferred
Prior experience in a project-based, client-service, or multi-entity environment strongly preferred
