The role involves managing project execution, schedules, budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while mentoring project staff.

Responsibilities

Manage project execution to meet financial, schedule, and quality goals
Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and work plans (Primavera P6, CPM)
Lead teams, including assistant project managers, engineers, and field personnel
Review contracts, drawings, and specifications; ensure compliance with labor, safety, and DBE requirements
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
Conduct risk assessments, value engineering, and early mitigation of potential issues
Oversee billing, cost tracking, change orders, and closeout documentation
Support recruiting, training, and mentoring of project team members
Enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance on-site

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years' construction project management experience, with 5+ years managing personnel
Advanced knowledge of heavy civil construction practices, contracts, codes, and standards
Proficient in MS Office; experience with HCSS, Viewpoint Spectrum, Primavera P6 preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license
