Responsibilities

Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Supervise and coordinate activities of laborers and their assigned roles
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders
Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, using knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel
Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion
Analyze and resolve work problems
Maintain time records
Make cost estimates for contracts
Use logical step-by-step procedures in work; plan work and solve problems; make decisions based on measurable information; may operate machinery
Provide work direction to laborer I, II, Journeyman, Apprentice, and Helpers
Work according to standard, detailed instructions and established, well-defined procedures
Determine work method from alternatives
Work under broad assignments
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance
All other duties as assigned

Required

Min 5 years of carpentry experience with 2 years in a supervisory role
Telehandler Forklift certification
Boom lift/ scissor lift certification
OSHA 10 min, OSHA 30 preferred
Current driver's license
Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; ability to work with machinery such as forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs
