Responsibilities

Prepare and update internal Google requirements and specifications for data center infrastructure
Review and evaluate data center designs, ensuring technical compliance and adherence to Google's standards
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) to ensure a co-ordinated and integrated design
Conduct thorough reviews of detailed design documents for data center buildings and equipment enclosures, ensuring accuracy, compliance with requirements, and proposing alternatives for optimal performance

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Professional Engineer (PE) License in any US state(s)
3 years of experience in Civil/Structural engineering for Data Center Construction
Experience with building design, co-ordination, and construction
Experience implementing civil/structural engineering principles (e.g., grading and drainage, hydraulic modeling, sediment control, erosion control, or soil migration)

Preferred

Master's degree in Structural Engineering, or a related field
Experience in finite element modeling and analysis
Experience with 3D modeling and analysis
