HR and Accounting Specialist
Stonebridge Country Club is a premier private club dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for its members. The HR and Accounting Specialist will assist the CFO and Assistant Controller with the management of all Accounting and HR operations, ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate financial records while supporting a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Close daily sales from POS
Assist with billing and member billing inquiries and issue resolution
Review, code and allocate invoices to appropriate manager for approvals
Reconcile bank transactions and resolve variances
Support timely and accurate payroll processing and Process payroll, including tax withholdings, deductions, and compliance with federal and state regulations
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Contribute to accurate and timely period end processes
Support annual audits by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with external auditors
Process incoming and outgoing mail
Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and offboarding processes
Assist in administrating HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
Support administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
Maintain employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations
Coordinate payroll processing in collaboration with the accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate payments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or years of comparable experience
Experience in a country club, hospitality, or member-based organization is a plus
Knowledge of HR processes, laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA) and accounting principles (GAAP)
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial and employee record-keeping
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff, members, and external partners
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
