Responsibilities
Own and scale our React-based merchant portal, enabling teams to configure search and recommendation strategies
Build performant, embeddable components for storefronts (Shopify and custom eCommerce stacks)
Collaborate with backend and ML engineers to surface real-time insights and optimization recommendations
Implement intuitive, high-leverage controls for managing dynamic ranking, filters, and merchandising strategies
Partner with design to deliver pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces
Help define frontend architecture, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
Qualification
Required
4+ years of professional frontend experience
Deep expertise with React and modern frontend tooling (e.g., Vite, TypeScript, Tailwind etc.)
Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and data (products, collections, merchandising, filters, customer segments)
Passion for performance and UX—especially in data-heavy interfaces
A bias for action and comfort working in fast-moving startup environments
Preferred
Preference for experience with Hydrogen, Remix, or headless CMSs
Preference for exposure to microservice architecture and familiarity with backend technologies (e.g. REST APIs, Node.js) to support integration
Preference for contributions to open-source or frontend tooling
Preference for exposure to personalization, ranking, or recommendation systems
Preference for experience building and deploying production features for Shopify storefronts (custom themes, Hydrogen, or headless setups)
