Financial Planner / Lead Planner

Headsbase is a wealth management and financial planning organization serving the Buffalo Grove & Chicago area for over 20 years. They are seeking a Financial Planner / Lead Planner to deliver holistic financial planning services while maintaining strong client relationships and collaborating closely with team members.

Management Consulting

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned wealth management clients
Address all client service needs, questions, and updates
Prepare comprehensive financial plan recommendations
Develop and track retirement income plans
Create investment portfolio summaries and asset allocation analyses
Conduct regular client meetings to build and strengthen relationships
Utilize tax planning tools to evaluate tax strategies
Prepare illustrations for annuities, life insurance, and long-term care products
Oversee one-off analysis requests and various planning computations
Collaborate closely with team members on client cases
Conduct periodic client reviews per the firm's service model
Proactively engage clients throughout the year to ensure needs are met

Required

Series 65 or 66 license required
a minimum of three years of direct client-facing Financial Planner experience
3+ years of experience working directly with clients as a Financial Planner
Bachelor's degree required
Strong passion for financial and retirement planning
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and detail-oriented skill set
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Friendly, outgoing, relationship-focused personality

Preferred

Life Insurance License
CFP
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP) strongly preferred
CFP must be obtained within 2 years of hire (if not already held)
Life Insurance License preferred (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
