Responsibilities
You will be responsible for building the various aspects of our platform that enable high throughout, near-real-time delivery, manageability and observability. You will have opportunities to experiment, propose improvements, build on the work of others, and contribute to the success of your peers
You will work closely with Senior Engineers who are subject matter experts in their areas to co-develop feature designs, while having the autonomy and accountability for the execution of the designs – implementation, validation, deployment to production, and support while in operation
You will participate in code reviews and will provide and receive constructive feedback to improve overall code quality. You will also take part in design discussions, seek feedback, and ensure that designs are scalable and fit well with the rest of the system
Overall, your responsibilities are at the intersection of understanding distributed systems principles and patterns, leveraging programming language runtime internals to extract additional performance and learning and drawing conclusions from experiments
You will also have opportunities to exhibit growth mindset by learning various technologies and product features and to be a member of an agile, performance-focused engineering team
You will participate in on call rotations to ensure the reliable operation of our services
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline
OR equivalent experience
Proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience
