Responsibilities
Collaboration: Work in partnership with the Design and Production Engineer to review product designs, production processes, and finished parts, ensuring compliance with quality specifications and identifying opportunities for improvement
Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections, audits, and tests on materials and finished products to verify adherence to internal and external quality standards
Waste Reduction: Analyze production data and processes to identify sources of waste, recommend corrective actions, and help implement solutions that maximize efficiency and minimize scrap or rework
Quality Management System (QMS): Manage and continually improve the QMS, ensuring documentation is up to date, procedures are followed, and compliance is maintained with relevant industry standards
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of quality activities, findings, and corrective actions. Provide clear reports to management and relevant stakeholders
Training and Support: Support colleagues by delivering training on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
Qualification
Required
Associates's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
3+ years of experience in a quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies
Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
Preferred
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
ISO 9001 auditor experience a strong plus
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
Ability to train and mentor staff on quality processes
