Qualification
Required
Strong backend engineering background (Python preferred) with experience building APIs, services, and data-driven systems at scale
Experience designing systems that support high concurrency, real users, and real consequences (e.g. large datasets, complex integrations, high-traffic platforms)
Deep understanding of API design (REST and/or GraphQL) and modern service architectures
Experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
Strong judgment around testing, validation, performance, reliability, and operational excellence
Proven ability to influence technical direction beyond your immediate team
Comfort working in environments where the 'right' solution is discovered, not prescribed
A track record of simplifying complex systems over time, not just adding new ones
