The ILS Program Manager will lead and oversee Independent Living Services, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance while mentoring staff and coordinating client assessments.
Individual & Family Services
Responsibilities
Provide regular support and mentorship to ILS Instructors through weekly or bi-weekly check-ins
Monitor staff documentation, punctuality, engagement, and overall service delivery quality
Conduct training, onboarding, and ongoing coaching for new and existing ILS staff
Address performance concerns with timely feedback and improvement plans
Participate in leadership meetings and collaborate on agency initiatives
Conduct initial client intakes and assessments by meeting with clients and their families in person
Assess client strengths, needs, goals, and support requirements to determine appropriate service levels and staffing fit
Gather and review relevant background information, Regional Center documentation, and referral materials
Provide professional recommendations regarding service scope, staffing, and service hour requests
Ensure intake assessments are documented thoroughly and aligned with Regional Center expectations and internal standards
Assign and adjust client caseloads based on hours, compatibility, and staff availability
Review new referrals and coordinate client intakes with Regional Center service coordinators
Attend IPP (Individual Program Plan) meetings and ensure ISP (Individualized Service Plan) alignment
Create, review, and update ISPs based on client goals, health, and home life changes
Communicate regularly with clients, families, and conservators to address concerns and ensure satisfaction
Respond to client and staff emergencies and conduct field visits when necessary
Resolve service complaints or incidents and file Special Incident Reports as needed
Conduct regular reviews of client case files and service documentation
Audit instructor service notes weekly for timeliness, accuracy, and ISP alignment
Review and approve employee timesheets, ensuring consistency with service documentation and billing requirements
Ensure compliance with Regional Center billing guidelines, vendor requirements, and internal standards
Track staff and client compliance with safety protocols, service delivery rules, and documentation timelines
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree
Experience in ILS, SLS, or direct care services for adults with disabilities
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative leadership team
Valid CA Driver's License, reliable, registered, and insured transportation, and ability to travel locally
Pass a background check and reference check
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field
Experience in a supervisory, lead, or coaching role
Strong understanding of Regional Center systems and ISP/IPP processes
First aid/CPR certified
