The Controller will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to manage accounting functions, oversee team members, and ensure compliance with internal controls while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Oversee Staff Accountant and other employees as assigned
Assist with monitoring internal controls compliance and company policy compliance
Enter invoices and bills into the Accounting System in an accurate and timely manner
Investigate and resolve problems associated with the processing of invoices
Collect credit card receipts for all company credit cards
Approve Draft Journal Entries for company credit cards
Prepare monthly bank account reconciliation
Match payments and receipts clearing the bank
Invoice customers each week as their ranges are produced
Follow up on overdue receivables by contacting customers and collecting funds
Assist with other projects such as budgets, general ledger reviews, financial report preparation
Generate tax payments in ZOHO and match them as they clear the bank account
Balance sheet account reconciliation
Personal conduct that reflects well on Art Culinaire and supports our personal conduct policy
Perform all duties consistent with Art Culinaire’s overall policies as stated on our Company Handbook
Qualification
Required
Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft Excel and other software systems
Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills and ability to work as part of a team
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices as well as general office practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to act ethically and with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Dependable, reliable and self-motivated
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent years of relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience with accounts payable and receivable, accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Multi-State sales tax experience
Understanding of logistics and inventory management
Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency
