They are seeking a Staff Accountant to manage outsourced accounting for clients, support tax compliance, and help streamline operations using technology.

Responsibilities

Keep client books accurate and up to date (including cleanup work as needed)

Seek out (or at least document opportunities) to streamline tasks using automation and AI

Support business and personal income tax compliance for clients and owners

Prepare quarterly estimates and assist with tax projections/planning

Help convert clients from desktop accounting software to Xero or QBO

Preparation of annual 1099 forms

Troubleshoot Xero, QBO and Gusto issues for our clients

Communicate with clients clearly, timely, and proactively

Required

1–2+ years of accounting and tax experience, including working knowledge of financial statements and business/personal income taxation
