Quality Assurance Technician
Cleveland Controls™ is seeking a Quality Technician II responsible for performing advanced inspections and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The role involves developing automated quality control processes and collaborating with various departments to resolve quality issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
Perform receiving and in-process inspections on raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications, drawings, and quality standards
Program, configure, and operate Keyence IM-X Instant Measurement System for product measurement and quality verification purposes
Set up, calibrate, and utilize automated vision inspection systems and measurement equipment
Accurately read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to verify product conformity
Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Document inspection results, maintain records, and prepare detailed reports in accordance with company quality procedures
Identify, segregate, and document nonconforming materials, and support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action initiatives
Collaborate closely with teams to communicate inspection results and support continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with calibration and preventive maintenance of all inspection and laser marking equipment
Support compliance with ISO 9001, customer-specific, and regulatory quality requirements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or an associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Automation, or a related field is preferred
2–4+ years of experience in a quality inspection or advanced manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Keyence IM-X Instant Measurement System programming and basic automation integration
Strong knowledge of measurement techniques and inspection tools
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Experience in Coordinated Measurement Machine (CMM)
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
